Initiatives

In the Office of Research and Technology Management (ORTM) at Case Western Reserve University, we don’t just support the research enterprise—we drive the conversation.

As efforts like our Strategic Partnerships and Research Collaborative Team (SPARC Team) demonstrate, we’re committed to advancing the university’s research mission as we engage with interdisciplinary partners on a large scale. From the $10M+ grants and contracts the SPARC Team handles to more niche projects, we see research through from conception to execution.

We work closely with centers on campus such as the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship, where entrepreneurial endeavors take root, to ensure all researchers feel supported as they bring their ideas to life.

And, soon we’ll support countless research initiatives on campus as they find new homes in the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Building (ISEB), a 189,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art structure dedicated to collaborative discovery and innovation.

Get to know a few of the specific initiatives driven by the ORTM.
