How to Configure Contribute to use WebDAV

  1. Open Contribute
  2. From the menu at the top, select Edit followed by My Conntections...
  3. From the My Connections panel, select Create
  4. In the Create Connections window enter the following information:
    What do you want to connect to? From the drop down box select Website.
    What is the web address (URL) of your website? Your site's web address (ex. http://www.case.edu/its/index.html). Then click the Next button.
  5. In the next Create Connections window enter the following information:
    How do you connect to your web server? From the drop down box select WebDAV.
    What is the WebDAV URL? Enter https://editweb.case.edu:8000/<your network id>/<your group's account name>
    What is the WebDAV username? Enter your network ID (ex. abc123).
    What is the WebDAV password? Enter your network password. This is the password used to check your Case email.
    Once finished click on the Next button.
  6. Contribute will make a connection with the server and when successful will display another Create Connection window. Enter your Name and email address in the text boxes. When complete click on the Next button.
  7. When complete, the connection wizard will show a summary of the connection information. Click on Done button to complet the connection.
