ARTS & SCIENCES FUNDING RESOURCES

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

Faculty Fellowships

A fellowship is typically awarded directly to an individual and not awarded to the University. In this type of situation, there is no clearance or approval needed to apply.  However, faculty should communicate with department chair's regarding any leave of absence or sabbatical time. There are other times in which a letter of endorsement from the Dean or President is required or helpful to a fellowship application. Please contact the Grant and Fellowship Specialist for letters of support or additional items.

Foundation Grants

A foundation is an entity that is established as a nonprofit corporation or a charitable trust, with a principal purpose of making grants to unrelated organizations or institutions or to individuals for scientific, educational, cultural, religious, or other charitable purposes. Foundations may be private, public, or corporate. Please note the following steps are for foundation proposal ONLY.
