Use your CWRU Network ID (e.g., abc123) and password to access CWRU resources, such as email, library holdings, paychecks and grades.
Visit help.case.edu and click "Activate CWRU Network ID" in the Quick Links section. Once you create your password, the system will display your Network ID and email address.
Know the Rules
You agree to abide by the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) each time you log in to a CWRU resource. Review the policy at case.edu/its/its-policies/i-1-acceptable-use-of-information-technology-policy-aup/.
Change your CWRU password every 365 days. You will receive email reminders prior to its expiration date. Visit help.case.edu and click "Change Password" to reset it anytime.

CWRU partners with premier providers to offer free and reduced pricing on technology.
Looking for a new computer, smartphone or tablet? Visit case.edu/its/estore to view deals from popular companies, such as Dell™, Apple®, AT&T™ and Sprint®.
More than 40 software titles are available to download—most at no additional cost. Visit softwarecenter.case.edu to download Microsoft® Office®, Adobe® Acrobat®, Symantec™ Endpoint Protection [required for employees] and more.

Student Information System (SIS)
Visit case.edu/sis to access curriculum information, course schedules and student records. Students use SIS to register for classes, view grades, plan future semesters and check progress towards fulfilling degree requirements. Faculty members use SIS to view their class rosters and information about their advisees, as well as grant students access to restricted classes. Visit sismobile.case.edu while while on-the-go for view-only access to certain SIS features. Additional SIS mobile functionality will be announced later this year.
Human Capital Management (HCM)
HCM is the online human resources database at CWRU. Student and university employees visit case.edu/hcm to indicate hours worked and time-off, view paychecks and manage direct deposit information.
Protect yourself and the university by following simple guidelines and best practices for information security.
Ignore and delete messages that request your username and password or other personal information, such as your birth date or social security number. ITS will never ask for your personal information or passwords by phone or email. Our correspondence will direct you to type help.case.edu into the address bar of your web browser if further action is needed.
Software for Security
Visit softwarecenter.case.edu to download Symantec™ Endpoint Protection for premier antivirus protection. Then, download Identity Finder™ to locate, secure or destroy confidential information. Both titles are available at no cost. Faculty and staff members must run these programs on computers that they use to conduct university business. Students are not required to run them, but they must have some form of antivirus protection installed on their computer to use the CWRU network.
Email, schedule and collaborate with CWRU Google Apps for Education™.
Your CWRU email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. If you share a name with someone on campus, your email address will contain a middle initial or number. Email also may be sent and received from NetworkID@case.edu (e.g., email@example.com).
Check your email at webmail.case.edu or use your favorite email app.
Google Apps for Education™
This suite of online tools and services includes Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sites, Groups and Hangouts- just to name a few. You have unlimited space for storing email and files. To explore the apps, visit webmail.case.edu and click the grid icon in the top right corner.
Use technology to push teaching, learning and research past their usual boundaries.
Many instructors use Blackboard Learn to host course content online. Visit blackboard.case.edu for tools and resources that can assist with ongoing assignments and collaborative projects. Some courses are available for viewing within Blackboard Learn through MediaVision Courseware.
Technology Enhanced Classrooms (TECs)
TECs are outfitted with top-of-the-line audio-visual and multimedia equipment and are located in more than 200 spaces across campus.
Active Learning Spaces
Active Learning Spaces use modern arrangements and technology to promote an educational shift toward active learning, collaboration, information access, assessment and instruction.
ITS supports high performance computing at CWRU. Services include data visualization, graphics processing, data storage, a high-speed network, and funding-agency application consultation. Visit case.edu/its/research-computing to explore all research services.

Located in the lower level of the Kelvin Smith Library (KSL), the Customer Assistance Resources and Education (CARE) Center is staffed by technicians who can answer your questions and service your devices- no appointment needed. Visit help.case.edu for current hours of operation.
Regardless of the device you brought to campus, ITS has a network to support you.
Sign in to the wireless network called "CaseWireless" for a fast and secure connection anywhere on campus. Visit wireless-setup.case.edu to configure your device for CaseWireless automatically.
The high-speed wired network allows you to upload, download and browse seamlessly. Laptop and desktop computers must be registered at setup.case.edu before they can be used on the wired network. Visit help.case.edu and click "Student Device Self-Registration" to register gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and more.
Off-Campus Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Use the VPN when connecting to an unsecured or public network. VPN is required when accessing certain university resources, such as the Software Center and library databases, from off-campus.
Visit vpnsetup.case.edu to download the VPN software and to enroll in two-factor authentication.
