SUPPORT SCIENCE CAFE CLEVELAND

Science Café Logo

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thank you for your continued support of Science Cafe Cleveland!

Science cafés provide an informal public forum for the open discussion of current science issues; they are based on the European salon model and many such cafés are currently active throughout much of the world.

Science Café Cleveland is sponsored by the Case chapter of Sigma Xi and WCPN ideastream (Cleveland). We've also received generous support from the ACES+ program at Case. Science Café Cleveland is a lively, informal scientific discussion in an inviting atmosphere of food and drink that usually takes place on the second Monday of each month at the Market Garden Brewery.

the Market Garden Brewery

Come join us! The Brewery is located at 1947 West 25th Street, right next to the West Side Market. Drinks start at 6:30 pm and discussion begins around 7:00 pm. No reservations are needed; just show up and feel free to bring a friend. The Market Garden Brewery offers dining options before, during and after the event. (Click here to view menu). Not to mention beer! Hope to see everyone there!

To see what Science Café Cleveland is serving up in the near future, check out the links above.  For some of our topics, we've provided a few suggestions for pre-readings in case you want to prime your mind for a café. You can also usually preview the café by listening to The Sound of Ideas on WCPN ideastream (90.3 FM) the morning of the café. (Links to podcasts of past shows can be found on our list of past cafés; they are a great way to catch up on topics that you happened to miss.)

If you would like to suggest a topic for a future café or would like to be added to our e-mail list, please send us an e-mail. You can also e-mail us with links to stories or pics of Science Café Cleveland that might be suitable for listing on our web site.
