Iceland 2019

Travelers enjoyed in-depth lectures on the geological aspects of Iceland, including rift that runs through Iceland and separates North America and Europe and how Iceland is growing by 5 cm each year.

Baltic Cruise 2019

Changing the Tides of History: Cruising the Baltic Sea - July 2019
CWRU Travelers enjoyed a cruise of the Baltic, including stops in Sweden, Finland, Saint Petersburg, Poland, and Denmark.

The trip included lectures from Lech Wałęsa, former President of Poland, and Pavel Palazhchenko, a high-level Soviet conference interpreter who was the chief English interpreter for Mikhail Gorbachev and Soviet foreign minister Eduard Shevardnadze from 1985 and 1991 in the negotiations with President Ronald Regan.
