Christopher Vlahos has worked in the alumni relations field since 2001, serving at the University of Arizona and The Ohio State University before coming to CWRU in 2010.
Previous corporate career endeavors included two decades in the field of marketing communications (known in the post-Mad Men days as advertising). Chris notes that the alumni relations niche has provided the opportunity to utilize corporate skills within an academic institutional environment. "Imagine that, real world experience in academe. It's a wonderful combination," he said.
Chris is a global traveler, consultant and speaker, and has a particular fondness for golf, convertibles and speaking French.
Alison Battaglia manages a CWRU team charged with cultivating lifelong relationships with the university’s schools, colleges and alumni.
She has served as Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, Vice President of Development for the Great Lakes Science Center and as Assistant Director at the Free Clinic of Greater Cleveland.
Alison served on the founding Board of Directors of the Mental Health Advocacy Coalition and as the Executive Director of the Citizens League and Citizens League Research Institute. As part of the Cuyahoga County government, she managed the county’s efforts to direct witnesses and victims of crimes to the county’s services supporting them.
Alison has served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Cuyahoga County Domestic Violence Advisory Board and on the Boards of Directors of Parkworks, Flashes of Hope, the Cleveland Hunger Network, and Project: LEARN. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Kent State University and is currently pursuing a dual-doctorate in Management and Designating Sustainable Systems from the Weatherhead School of Management. Alison was a member of the Leadership Cleveland class of 2004 and was named one of 40-Under-40 by Crain’s Cleveland Business in 1998.
Sue Gallop is originally from the Cleveland area and celebrated 50 years of service with CWRU in June 2013. She graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in anthropology and psychology. She has always had a love of horses and now owns one named TC. She's worked with the Alumni Association since 1999.
Kaliya Arnwine is originally from Los Angeles and has worked professionally in higher education for more than nine years. She has professional experience in alumni relations, event/program planning, facility management and marketing. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Nevada in 2006 and a master's degree in education from Cleveland State University in 2012. She joined the Alumni Association in December 2012.

Elisse Cortez grew up in the Cleveland area and is a 2009 graduate of CWRU (B.A. Philosophy). As a student, she was active in residence life, Greek life and undergraduate admission. She joined the Alumni Association in November 2013.
Her previous experience includes 4 years at other higher education institutions. Most recently, she worked in undergraduate admission at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, Md., where she was also active in the local Baltimore/Washington, D.C. alumni chapter.
Tera Davis transferred to Cleveland from Southington, Ohio and is a 2006 CWRU business graduate. While working on her bachelor's degree she served as an orientation leader for Alpha Kappa Psi and the Weatherhead Mentoring Group. Additionally, she was a Spartan cheerleader and dance team member. Before joining the Alumni Association in August 2013, she was a retail marketing projects manager at Parker Hannifin. She's currently working on her Master of Business Administration at Weatherhead.
Ashley Dyer moved from Utah to Cleveland five years ago. She has worked at the Alumni Association for 3 years and plans to graduate with her Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management in May of 2014.
Before joining the Alumni Association, Ashley worked in retail management and the medical industry. She loves working on CWRU's beautiful campus, and has a special interest in CWRU’s Orientation Leaders and Admissions Tour Guides due to their extensive campus knowledge and service as student ambassadors.
Jessie Finley is originally from upstate New York and has been with the CWRU Alumni Association since February 2013. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in business and technology management from the State University of New York at Delhi.
She served as a program assistant in Alumni Affairs and Development at Cornell University for 5 years before coming to CWRU. She loves the energy and enthusiasm at the university and is proud to be a part of the staff.
Jason Hawk is from Sarver, PA and has worked at The Alumni Association since March 2012. He is a 2007 Kent State University graduate and previously served for five years as a marketing coordinator for Recreational Services at KSU.
Jason loves CWRU's location and the easy access to Cleveland's greatest public assets including the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Botanical Garden. CWRU has a great reputation within higher education institutions and is an excellent employer.

Lana—a Northeast Ohio native—left the world of systems engineering for marketing. Lana is responsible for online and digital marketing communications for The Alumni Association.
She has Associate Degrees in Graphic Design and Computer Science from Lakeland Community College and a BS in Visual Communication and Design from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Jessica Tremayne-Farkas is originally from Youngstown, Ohio, and previously served as a communications coordinator with St. Edward High School Alumni Association, and in various editor roles at DVM Newsmagazine, Smart Business magazine and Veterinary Practice News before coming to CWRU in 2013. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Youngstown State University in 2002 and a Master of Arts in public relations management from Kent State University in 2013.
