the Office
Barbara R. Snyder, who started her academic career in higher education in the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, began her tenure as the first woman to hold the office of university president on July 1, 2007. Her investiture was conducted in August. Less than a year later, the university is on the move. It is in the midst of a strategic planning process and a search for a new provost.

Senior Leadership
Case Western Reserve University's Board of Trustees also is representative of the university community as a whole—four out of every five members are alumni—and several deans and administrators have served at Case Western Reserve in previous positions. Members of senior leadership are among the best and brightest in education administration—as well as award-winning advisers, mentors, scholars and teachers.
