16. Adelbert Gym
Adelbert Gymnasium, designed by Clarence Arey, was the third building on the Adelbert College campus. In the early 1900s, university trustees discussed building a new gymnasium but ended up constructing an armory for World War I training programs. By the time the building, was completed in 1919, the war was over. Adelbert Gymnasium is now used for intramural athletics and special events.
