Nursing
The Frances Payne Bolton School of
Nursing has a proud heritage beginning
with the Lakeside Hospital Training
School for Nurses established in
1898. With a generous endowment
from Frances Payne Bolton, who was the
first woman congressman from Ohio,
the school of nursing was established in
1923 as a school within Western Reserve
University.
