20. Baker Building
Built in 1957, Baker housed the offices of SAGES
(the Seminar Approach to General Education & Scholarship); Multicultural Affairs; University Relations, Programs and Events; the Instructional Television Network; Hatch Auditorium and numerous classrooms. In November of 2004, the demolition of the Baker Building began. The University's Master Plan called for removal of the Baker Building. The space was cleared and partially landscaped by May of 2005. During the summer of 2005, construction on the Binary Walkway commenced.
