Office Phones (VoIP)

Case Western Reserve University uses Voice over IP (Voice over Internet Protocol or "VoIP") technology for its phone system. VoIP converts voice calls from an analog frequency to a digital frequency, allowing CWRU to use its existing data network to provide telephone service throughout the campus. By offering VoIP, CWRU has a "converged" network where voice, data, and video all travel along the same Gigabit network
