Event Promotion

University Programs and Events works closely with Marketing and Communications to create both printed and online promotional materials for major campus events, but we realize that many of you program your own events as well. Whether your event is large or small, we are happy to help you find ways to maximize attendance.

When chalk is not enough

Chalking messages on sidewalks can be a very effective tool for reaching the campus community, but sometimes you need something more. Our news and information team is available to help you reach out to the media; the marketing staff can assist you with your advertising strategy; Case Creative can develop enticing copy and compelling visual imagery for your ads, invitations, flyers or posters; and you can submit your event details yourself to the Web Event Calendar and to Case Daily, our e-mail newsletter.

Web Event Calendar

Case's Web Event Calendar allows anyone to post events either to specific departmental or topical calendars or to the general calendar. If your department or organization has frequent events, you may consider applying for your own calendar. This will allow you to post and approve your own events and to link directly to a calendar showing only your events. You may also embed other calendars, such as the holidays calendar within your own. If you only program occassional events of interest to the Case community, you may submit either a description or a web link to the general events calendar. As soon as these submissions are approved by the calendar maintainer they will be published.
