We offer expertise in marketing, graphic design, web development and writing for Case marketing and communications projects across campus. Serving as the in-house agency for the university, we have been producing effective, award-winning pieces for our clients since 1970.
Editing and Writing
The writers on our creative and internal communications teams ensure that all publications attributed to the university are written to the highest standard. We work to unite consistency with creativity and to convey the whole range of the university's strengths.
We can help you with all phases of word-smithing: research, publication planning and advice, writing, and editing. We can create original copy, work with what you write, consult with you about your ideas, and help you construct a single document or a series of publications. Graphic Design
Our graphic designers work with you to present your message in a format that reflects the best features of your department and program. Designers work closely with the writers and need to know as much as possible about your audience, budget and mission, and welcome your input regarding color, texture, and even typography preferences within branding guidelines. Just keep in mind that providing too many preliminary sketches, layouts, or requirements usually makes the design process less productive.
Marketing
Case's creative team will work with you to develop your goals, understand your target audience, and plan your marketing strategy to ensure that all of your marketing endeavors work in support of each other.
Media Services
Case's media relations team maintains relationships with local, national and international media. Their staff of media professionals is ready to work with you to promote your news or events through the writing and distribution of news releases, press conferences, and other channels.
Multimedia
Case designers create flash animations ranging from small web banner ads to slideshows and more complex animations. We offer templates that can be used by members of the Case community to develop their own Powerpoint presentations, and offer guidance to ensure that your visual presentation enhances your message.
Photography and illustration
We do not have full-time illustrators or photographers on staff, but we regularly commission the work of outside talent. In the past thirty years, we've developed a diverse network of artists and photographers that we know and trust.
Production
We solicit cost estimates for our printed pieces from commercial suppliers with established track records for service and craftsmanship. (University Printing Services does not bid on publications office projects.) In conjunction with client departments, we identify the best printer for each job, review and circulate proofs, ensure on-time delivery of the finished publication, and process invoices.
Web Development
Internal communications provides templates and other materials that allow web maintainers across campus to develop and maintain their own web sites. Additionally we consult with clients to help them develop web strategies that meet their communications and marketing goals, assist with site planning and design, and offer development tips and tricks via the Web Development Blog. Our web designers also maintain the university's main web page as well as selected specialty sites, such as Visiting Case.
Video
Video projects are produced through MediaVision in the department of Instructional Technology and Academic Computing. Case Creative offers assistance with art direction, storyboarding, and writing to ensure that your video project meets your communication goals and works in conjunction with your other marketing projects. Additionally, the Samuel B. and Marian K. Freedman Digital Library, Language Learning and Multimedia Services Center offers equipment for video, photographic and music editing and production.
