Jason Tirotta joined the media relations team in April 2007 with several years of college media relations experience, most recently as interim director of athletics communications at Kent State University. Before managing the day-to-day operations of the sports information office at Kent State, Jason worked at Hiram College as the director of sports information/marketing.
In addition to working the beats he covers, Jason also serves on the Security Task Force Communication Sub-committee and the Case for Community Day committee.
Jason has a B.A. in broadcasting from Baldwin-Wallace College and is working on a master's degree in public relations at Kent State University. Jason loves playing, watching and reading about sports and enjoys running marathons and triathlons. He prides himself on owing an extensive t-shirt collection (more than 200 shirts), which has achieved national media attention. Jason is recently married and he and his wife, Amanda, live in Ashtabula with their two-year old chihuahua, Diego.
