  • Training for your staff to ensure strong on-going maintenance capability.
The Web Development Process

Active customer involvement is key to the success of our web site development process. Our only requirement is that the groups participating should target one person in their office (student or staff employee) to be assigned as maintainer for the site during creation and when completed. We will train the maintainer if necessary. The basic process is fairly straight forward. Here are the general steps involved.

Initial Consultation.

We determine your web site's mission and goals and guide you through the related issues. Topics covered include:

  • Target audience
  • Message to be communicated
  • Flow Chart Development
  • Specific web Content
  • Site and Color Preferences
  • Technical Requirements
Getting it down on paper.

As non-linear documents, websites come in a vast array of organizational structures. In the planning stages we will work with you to come up with an organizational and navigational structure that most affectively communicates your message to your target audience. We can assist in the development of a web flow chart that will determine the size, shape, scope and timing of the project as well as recommending strategies for choosing content.

Putting the web site together.

Once the plan is in place, your web maintainer can begin to add content and graphics to the pages. We will meet as frequently with your maintainer as necessary to ensure their comfort level and your satisfaction with the site as it develops.

Getting the Site Live.

During the development, your site will be tested for performance and reliability. When development is complete and you have reviewed all pages, your site can be moved to your production server.

Training.

We will train your maintainer and anyone else on your staff to make simple updates to the site at your request. Maintainers will also benefit from taking KSLearn classes.
