The Office oversees the issuance of university debt and manages the university's long- and short-term debt portfolios with a view toward achieving the lowest attainable cost of capital while minimizing interest-rate and other risks.
Within the University, the Office works directly with the Budget, Controller, Development, General Counsel, and Investments offices. It also meets regularly with the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees.
On an external basis, the Office has regular contact with the Ohio Higher Educational Facility Commission, university bond counsel, and multiple providers of banking, financial advisory, underwriting, credit, and legal services.
The Office of the Treasurer is part of the Division of Finance. The Treasurer reports directly to the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. The Office of the Treasurer is staffed by three full-time professionals with expertise in all aspects of financial asset and liability management.
