The CAPS Certificate of Achievement Exam
The CAPS Certificate can be taken by those who qualify. To qualify to take the exam you must have completed, per attendance policies, the 2 required courses, ABCs of Financials at CWRU and Effective Interpersonal Communication, 1 class of the 3 choice required option and 5 electives. Those who have qualified to take the exam will receive an email when an open exam has been scheduled.
WHEN: Exams are scheduled quarterly or more frequently as needed.
WHERE: The Exam location is in the 3rd floor computer lab of the BioEnterprise building. There are 7 stations for testing.
HOW: What is the test like? The test is not open book. The test is online and consists of multiple choice, fill in, matching and true and false questions. In addition, if you test on a class held in a lab many of those require a hands on exercise to be completed in the training environment.
SCORING: You must receive at 75% or higher score to pass the exam. Results are emailed after the tests have been graded. If a passing score is not achieved, participants may retake the test.
AWARDS: Certificate awards are held twice per year, January and July, where recipients recieve their certificate and are acknowledged for their achievement by the Chief Financial Officer and CAPS staff.
