Forward Thinking: Our Strategic Plan for Case Western Reserve University 2008-2013
Development Process for Our Strategic Plan
In fall 2007, just months after taking office, Case Western Reserve University's President Barbara R. Snyder charged the university community with a strategic planning initiative.
Hundreds of students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the university provided input throughout development. And the process built on a planning effort established during 2006-2007 — with roots reaching back nearly five years from the present.
This foundation, followed by nine months of reports from a steering committee, working group and issues task forces—and more than 10 preparation documents, eight school-specific strategies and six consultants later — Case Western Reserve's university plan was approved by its Board of Trustees.
Now the real work begins.
