Each year, U.S. News and World Report ranks the nation's top universities and graduate programs. Each year, Case Western Reserve University earns its spot among the country's best colleges.

One of the Nation's Top Universities

In its 2011 ratings, U.S. News and World Report: America's Best Colleges ranked Case Western Reserve University number 38 among 262 national universities.

Case Western Reserve University was also ranked number 35 on U.S. News and World Report's Best Values charts.

Best in Ohio

According to the 2010 rankings, Case Western Reserve is rated as the best university in the state of Ohio.

Top Graduate Schools and Programs

Over the past five years, a number of graduate and professional programs at Case Western Reserve University have topped U.S. News and World Reports Best Graduate Schools charts, including health law at #8, biomedical engineering at #11 and nonprofit management at #10.

The report also ranked Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine 22nd in the nation in research, placing it highest among Ohio medical schools.

Research Rankings

Case Western Reserve University also ranks among the country's leading research institutions. The NSF Survey of Research and Development Expenditures rated Case Western Reserve 13th among private institutions and 26th among all in federal expenditures for science and engineering research and development (NSF/FY 2008).

In addition, Case Western Reserve was ranked 12th among U.S. medical schools in awards from NIH (FY 2005).
