The SAGES Capstone Program requires students to make a final, public presentation of their work. These presentations may take place in departmental settings, in the SOURCE Undergraduate Symposium and Poster Session (see below), or elsewhere, as determined by the department offering the Capstone Course.
SOURCE sponsors the Undergraduate Symposium and Poster Session. The Fall 2013 semester is scheduled for December 6, 2013. All undergraduate students who recently have been or are involved in research or a creative project are invited to take part. A note from the SOURCES's Director, Dr. Sheila Pedigo: "I encourage all of you who are involved in senior capstone projects and other research and creative projects to present your work. I want to especially encourage humanities and arts students to consider presenting their work. You don't have to present a poster! Meeting rooms are reserved in Thwing Center for you to present your Capstone (and other) papers. I also want to work with performance students about possibilities for presenting your work."
Research ShowCASE has provided a venue for communication of faculty, postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate research. In Spring 2010, hundreds of researchers, scientists and scholars participated in a day of collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
As a free public exhibit, Research ShowCASE has celebrated the full range of faculty, postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate research and scholarship being conducted at CWRU and its affiliated hospitals: University Hospitals Health System, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the MetroHealth System, and the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center.
Exhibits of real-world applications, critical insights, and creative and intellectual activities have been on view for students, faculty, staff, and the community while demonstrating how research and scholarship bring value to CWRU, its affiliated institutions, our community, and the world.
Discussions is a peer reviewed research journal at Case Western Reserve University. It features research papers, review articles, and scholarly essays written by undergraduate students from any college or program within the university. Its primary aims are to foster academic dialogue within the student body and to provide an opportunity for undergraduates to publish their scholarly work.
