Mission
The Elections Committee shall be responsible for organizing and monitoring the election
process for the Council, as well as, planning an orientation program for newly elected
Council Representatives. It is our mission to preserve the integrity of the election
process by continuing to follow the guidelines as set forth in the Staff Advisory
Council Constitution.
Objectives
A full list of nominees to serve as representatives in all management areas is essential.
The Election committee will strive to increase involvement and interest in the election
process for the Staff Advisory Council. Increasing representation within the two
largest management groups, the School of Medicine and University Administration,
will be one of our primary goals for the coming year. The committee has expectations
that this will lead to an improved understanding of Council operations. The creation
of a nomination sub-committee has been carefully reviewed and initiated. Appropriate
constitutional changes have been introduced to assist with the objectives of the
elections committee and nomination sub-committee.
