Weatherhead School of Management
Weatherhead School to take on new global initiative

Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management is undertaking a new venture designed to further enhance its standing among the top management schools—the creation of an Institute for Corporate Governance.

The institute, which will conduct research into the range of challenges facing corporate governance in today's global environment. The center-one of a very few in the world-will complement the Weatherhead School's core strengths in fields such as organizational behavior, banking, entrepreneurship, finance, and information systems.

The new center will be under the direction of Mohsen Anvari, who will step down as dean of the Weatherhead School in order to devote himself to them full time. He will focus on establishing the Institute for Corporate Governance and serve as professor and director.

The University will shortly undertake a national search for a new dean for the Weatherhead School. Gerald Korngold, dean of the Case School of Law and McCurdy Professor of Law, will serve as interim dean of the Weatherhead School until the search is completed.

Nominations of candidates for the Weatherhead School dean can be e-mailed to Susan Shurin, vice president and secretary of the corporation, at susan.shurin@case.edu.
