Mittlestadt attended music students' recitals

Pamela Mittelstadt, department assistant for the department of music at Case Western Reserve University, died September 5 after a long battle with cancer. She was 55.

During her time with the music department from 1998-2003, Mittlestadt independently organized the office, increased the security at Harkness Chapel, developed a student recital schedule in conjunction with the Cleveland Institute of Music and coordinated the flow of internal and external communication for the department.

Mittlestadt especially enjoyed working with the students. She was willing to assist the students in completing their forms and patiently answering their questions. She also was instrumental in the development of the student undergraduate organization, MUSIC, and the student lounge. She avidly supported the students in their pursuits and was present for each one's recital.

A Memorial service for Mittelstadt will take place at 7: 30 p.m. October 12 in Harkness Chapel. For additional information, go to http://pammittelstadt.home.att.net.
