A delegation from Africa visits Case Western
Reserve University to learn about undergraduate student leadership
development.

An African delegation representing 14 countries visited Case Western Reserve
University to learn more about undergraduate student leadership development
at higher education institutions in the United States as part of "Educating
Youth for Future Leadership," a program funded by the U.S. Department
of State and organized by the Institute for International Education.
During the delegates' visit to Cleveland, they exchanged ideas and insights
with Case undergraduate student leaders in roundtable discussions organized
and hosted by the Office of Student Community Service in partnership with
the Cleveland Council on World Affairs.
Among others, participants included

Muslim Student Association; Penda Sago Diop Sarr,
of the Senegalese National Assembly and president of the Women's and Youth
Wing of the Senegalese National Party; Thierry Rwagatore, representative
of Africa Strategic Impact, Burundi; Hermance Cica M. Jose Ekpodessi, coordinator,
Salus Oculi, Benin; and Abdou Latif N'Diaye, interpreter.
