Teeter directed Functional Electronic Stimulation Center

Case Western Reserve University alumna Jeanne O'Malley Teeter, 43, who served as director of communications for the Cleveland Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), died September 15.

Teeter earned a master's degree in biomedical engineering from the Case School of Engineering in 1983 and then was hired as an engineer in the department of biomedical engineering. In 1998, she became an information specialist for the FES Center, a research consortium consisting of the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, MetroHealth Medical Center and Case.

Two years later, Teeter earned a master's degree in business administration from the Weatherhead School of Management. She was named director of the FES Information Center in 1991 and served for 10 years.

Psenicka prepared diplomas during her 55 years on Case staff

llen Rose Psenicka, a 55-year employee of Case Western Reserve University, died September 21. She was 84.

Psenicka, who worked for several years as department administrator for the University's commencement office, certified every student for graduation and prepared every diploma for Case commencements from 1959 to 1998.
She earned her own Case degree, in English, in 1968.

Psenicka's career at the University began in the late 1930s when she took a course at Cleveland College. The class led to a part-time job, which eventually became full time, in the Case registrar's office. She also served in the office of John Schoff Millis, who was president of then Western Reserve College from 1949 to 1967, and continued working with Millis during his emeritus years.
