Sport new logo to help support vision
A show of school spirit can go a long way toward making Case Western Reserve University the world's most powerful learning environment. Members of the campus community can now sport the new Case logo on their clothing, caps and umbrellas—just a few of the items now available for sale at http://www.costore.com/case. In addition to showing off the new Case logo, faculty and staff can help support the university's vision with their purchases. All proceeds from purchases of new Case merchandise made before December 31 will go directly toward the university's Annual Fund. Case's Annual Fund supports scholarships and student life, advances research and teaching activities and enhances cutting-edge technology and facilities campus wide. Supporting the Annual Fund also benefits the university in non-monetary ways. "In addition to serving as a testament to the campus community's belief in and commitment to its vision, annual fund participation by individuals who teach and work at the university can boost Case's standings in the U.S. News and World Report rankings," said Char Harner, director of annual and special gifts. "Corporations and foundations also look favorably on educational institutions with high employee participation when awarding grants." Along with purchases of new Case merchandise, faculty and staff can increase their investment in students and programs at Case by considering an outright gift to the Annual Fund. Employees can make a contribution through payroll deduction or online at http://giving.case.edu. Donors can designate their outright gift, as well as the proceeds from their purchases of Case merchandise, to the specific school or program fund of their choice. Members of the campus community may contribute directly to arts and sciences, engineering, dentistry, law, management, medicine, nursing, social work, the library or the president's discretionary fund. For additional information on ways to support Case, go to http://www.cwru.edu/development or contact the annual fund office at 368-6233.
