YOUNG ALUMNI

Informal gatherings at popular spots to bring together alumni fifteen years out or less to network, socialize, and discover ways to support the university.

February 8 | Tuesday

Young alumni in the Tampa, Florida, area will meet at the Big City Tavern, 1600 East Eighth Avenue, for drinks, networking, appetizers, and more. Learn what’s happening in the area and back on campus.

February 19 | Saturday

Games of chance and other try-your-luck opportunities at the annual alumni Casino Night Benefit sponsored by the Weatherhead School of Management. Join other high rollers at the Marriott at Key Center, 127 Public Square, Cleveland, to raise funds for school-based and local charities. Admission.

Alumna honoree: A reception last fall honoring Julie Gerberding (bottom photo) brought together a number of Case dignitaries such as medical school Dean Ralph Horwitz, former U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher (MED and GRS ’70 anatomy), and President Hundert. Dr. Gerberding (WRC ’77, MED ’81), director of the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, received the President’s Award for Distinguished Alumni.
CASE BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

A series of programs that bring leading Case faculty to select venues to discuss compelling issues of the day.

January 22 | Saturday

Alumni in Detroit can learn more about the Case Formula SAE Car in this presentation at the Antheneum Suite Hotel, 1000 Brush Avenue. Also, be sure to attend the Detroit Auto Show. Admission.

April 10 | Sunday

Learn about technology and the arts in Chicago. Program features Fred Collopy, professor and chair of the Information Systems Department at the Weatherhead School of Management.


PRESIDENTIAL EVENTS

Meet President Edward M. Hundert at these informal events to learn what’s new and what’s upcoming throughout the university community.

January 10 | Monday

Case Houston welcomes President Hundert and Donald Thomas (CIT ’77), recipient of the President’s Award for Distinguished Alumni. Reception takes place at the NASA Johnson Space Center.

February 6 and 7 | Sunday and Monday

Make a weekend of it in West Palm Beach, Florida. Enjoy dinner with the president at the Four Seasons Resort, 2800 South Ocean Boulevard. Test your skills against other alumni in a round of golf at the Emerald Dunes Course in West Palm Beach.

April 18 | Monday

Alumni in Philadelphia will attend a reception with the president from 6-8 p.m. at the Four Seasons Philadelphia, 1 Logan Square.


SPECIAL HAPPENINGS

Community service projects, luncheons, sports events, networking opportunities, and other fun things…

January 11 | Tuesday

Alumni in Austin, Texas, meet for an evening of socializing.

January 22 | Saturday

Case San Diego will enjoy a performance by the San Diego Repertory Theatre, Life: A Guide For The Perplexed, followed by a backstage tour led by general manager Thomas Parrish (CWR ’01). Event held at the Lyceum Theatre, 79 Horton Plaza. Admission.

January 29 | Saturday

Case Colorado will attend a men’s hockey game at Magness Arena in Denver. Game features the University of Denver Pioneers against the University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves. Admission.

April 19 | Tuesday

Come meet and mingle with the Ohio Delegation during a reception at the Library of Congress, 101 Independence Avenue, S.E., in Washington, D.C.
