Safety Advisory
This incident occurred off campus and did not involve anyone affiliated with Case Western Reserve, but because of the proximity to the university, campus police would like the campus community to be aware.
Crime: Attempted Kidnapping
Location of incident: RTA Little Italy–University Circle Rapid Station
Date of Incident: Feb. 16, 2021
Time of Incident: 8:50 a.m.
Incident Description: A female victim reported that as she disembarked from the RTA train, a male suspect attempted to grab her before he fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Suspect(s) Description: The suspect is described as a heavyset black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing black boots, two sweatshirts and a face covering.
