CLEVELAND -- Cristina A. Camardo, 21, a member of the class of 2001 at Case Western Reserve University, died Wednesday, September 6 in University Hospitals. The cause of death was acute liver failure.
Camardo, a resident of Broadview Heights, was president of her class and first vice president of the Phi Mu sorority. She was also a member of the Student Turning Point Society, the Case Engineering Council, the Society of Women Engineers, the American Medical School Association and the Law Club, as well as captain of the Rainbow Babies and Children Volleyball Club. She was a biomedical engineering major, with a minor in chemistry.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10 at Faulhaber Funeral Home, located at the corner of Broadview and Sprague Roads at 7915 Broadview Road in Broadview Heights. The phone number is 440-526-7315.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Monday, September 11 at St. Basil's the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Road (south of Pleasant Valley Road), Brecksville. The Office of Student Activities will arrange for buses to transport members of the campus community to the church for the funeral service.
