Science Coalition Web site to feature CWRU research

Case Western Reserve University research was highlighted nationally in cyberspace during the weeks of August 24 and 31, as the Science Coalition featured CWRU in the "On Campus" section of its Web page. The site contents have now been moved to the CWRU Web server, and are available at http://www.cwru.edu/pubaff/univcomm/sci-coal/cwru.htm.

Among CWRU research projects spotlighted are the establishment of the $21 million Glennan Microsystems Initiative on campus, the creation of the world's first artificial human chromosomes, and the regeneration of transplanted nerve axons in adult animals.

Each week, the coalition profiles one of the nation's research universities. The Science Coalition is an alliance of 416 organizations, institutions, and individuals who seek to sustain the federal government's historic commitment to university-based science research.
