CLEVELAND -- Alumnus Harold McRae (left) had support from the De Ford Memorial Scholarship to attend the University, graduating in 1965 from Adelbert College. Now McRae has reciprocated by establishing a scholarship in honor of Frank "Doc" Kelker, an African-American alumnus who went on to head the Cleveland YMCA. Bianca Walters, a first-year computer science student from East Cleveland, is the first Kelker Scholar. The donor and recipient met during a recent breakfast at the Dively Building held to seek support from the African-American community to increase the scholarship fund.
