General Information
Click here for an Education Abroad General Information document. ~Students are eligible for study abroad provided that they have completed at least 24 credit hours at CWRU, have declared a major, and are in good academic standing and disciplinary standing, with no pending judicial actions, and are otherwise eligible to register on campus at CWRU for the proposed semester(s) (no financial holds, e.g.). It is important to note that specific study abroad programs have their own admissions guidelines and students will need to meet those for participation in that approved program. ~CWRU's Education Abroad Program recognizes programs from over 40 countries! ~Up to 36 hours of credit may be granted for study at an established foreign university or for approved foreign study programs offered through accredited American universities. ~Programs must be approved by The Office of Education Abroad and the student's major adviser. ~Financial aid and scholarships may be used for study abroad. There are also additional scholarships for which students can apply. ~All majors are eligible to study abroad. If you are interested you should talk to your advisor. ~If a student is studying in a Non-English speaking country and the language is taught on campus, a minimum of two years of a foreign language is required. The Education Abroad Office is located on the first floor of Tomlinson Hall. Please stop by the office to make an appointment or contact the Education Abroad Advisor, Lisa Brown. |
