Case Western Reserve University will award a limited number of scholarships for 2009-2010 and subsequent years to students who are currently enrolled at Case and who have compiled a record of achievement, participation and leadership that distinguishes them from their peers.
The following scholarships will be available for the 2011-2012 academic year:
One Trustees Scholarship
Two President's Scholarships
Four Provost's Scholarships
To be considered, students must complete an application and submit a recommendation from a faculty member. Recipients will be selected in June by the University Undergraduate Faculty Committee on Academic Standing.
Eligibility requirements for consideration:
- Applicants must be US citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card)
- Applicants must be first, second or third year students in 2010-2011 who have not previously received a Trustees, President's, Provost's or similar scholarship
- Students who entered as first year students in fall 2010 must have earned a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.75 and at least 30 credit hours earned at Case in the academic year 2009-2010. Advanced Placement, IB and transfer credit hours will not be considered.
- Students who entered Case in fall 2008 or in fall 2009 must have earned by May 2011 a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.75 and averaged at least 15 credit hours for each semester of enrollment at Case.
The scholarships will be renewable through the fourth year of undergraduate study or until completion of the undergraduate degree, whichever occurs first. For each recipient, the annual amount of the scholarship will equal the annual amount given for the particular scholarship (Trustees, President’s, Provost’s) in the recipient’s matriculation year. After receiving the scholarship, a student must maintain full-time undergraduate status, earn at least 30 credit hours in each academic year, and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 in order to retain the scholarship.
