GRADUATION APPLICATION

Application for Graduation
  • the new student information system will change this process beginning with summer or fall 2008 candidates; more information will be available soon
Deadline Dates for Graduation Applications
  • June 1 for August degree
  • October 1 for January degree
  • December 3 for May degree
Proof of Eligibility to Graduate
  • The Advisement Report is a component of the new PeopleSoft Student Information System and will replace the Degree Progress Report (DPR) in May 2008
  • August 2008 degree candidates will be cleared to graduate based on this report, therefore all requirements must be satisfied by the end of the summer term
  • please notify the Office of Undergraduate Studies if the report is not correct (ugacadreport@case.edu)
  • we will have your spring 2008 DPR available for reference which will be current except for summer 2008 enrollment
  • any special approvals must be submitted on a Correction Form signed by your advisor

COMMENCEMENT HONORS

Commencement honors for students receiving bachelor's degrees will be awarded to the top 35% of the graduating class.
  • Top 10 percent: summa cum laude [Jan/May/Aug 2008: 3.90]
  • Next 10 percent: magna cum laude [Jan/May/Aug 2008: 3.77]
  • Next 15 percent: cum laude [Jan/May/Aug 2008: 3.59]
To be eligible for commencement honors, candidates must have:
  1. Earned a minimum of 54 hours for evaluative grades (A, B, C, D) in residence at the University.
  2. Attained the required percentile ranking on the basis of all work for which grades are averaged at the University.
