UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES

ADVISEMENT REPORT or DEGREE PROGRESS REPORT (DPR)

What is an Advisement Report?

An Advisement Report is a component of the new PeopleSoft student information system (www.case.edu/erp/sis) and will replace the Degree Progress Report (DPR). It matches courses a student has taken with the requirements of a particular degree program and enables the student to answer: What do I have to complete to graduate? Have I met my graduation requirements? The report does not replace written information such as The Handbook for Undergraduate Students, General Bulletin, and other departmental documents which explain programs and procedures.

May 2008 degree candidates will be cleared to graduate based on their DPR, and the new system will take effect beginning summer 2008. Since continuing students will move to the new system, summer/fall 2008 enrollment will not be included on the current DPR.

In your senior year, you will need proof of your eligibility to graduate as indicated by your Advisement Report, which is available online beginning May 2008 as a component of the SIS (www.case.edu/erp/sis). DPRs will remain available in MyCase portal for May 2008 degree candidates.

Under construction. An Advisement Report begins with general degree requirements, then school requirements, followed by more specific requirements such as majors and minors.

Corrections

Whom Do I Contact for Corrections?

If your Advisement Report requires a correction, use a Correction Form (2-page pdf) to obtain approval from the appropriate department for the following changes:

  1. Course substitutions in major/minor requirements must be approved by the major/minor advisor
  2. Satisfied requirements not properly noted on the report should be brought to the attention of the Office of Undergraduate Studies, Sears Building 357
  3. The requirement term for your academic program, which is the year you entered Case, may be changed to a later date but must be consistent between the major and core or general education requirements
