Our Purpose:

Case Western Reserve University has a long tradition of strong undergraduate education and outstanding research and graduate programs. SOURCE brings these strengths together.

The goal of the SOURCE office is to assist and prepare students to engage in research and creative endeavors, and to guide and, where appropriate, to supplement institutional, departmental, and divisional work with this effort. All this means that the SOURCE office is here to help students learn about UR-CE (undergraduate research and creative endeavors) and opportunities, to assist faculty members in posting opportunities, assist with funding, and to celebrate our students' accomplishments.

CWRU Benefits:

Case Western Reserve UniversityCase Western Reserve University has many advantages for students interested in getting involved in UR-CE. First, the graduate program is larger than the undergraduate program. This fact allows for many opportunities on faculty and doctoral student teams. Secondly, Case is located in Cleveland’s University Circle. The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Natural History Museum, Cleveland Botanical Gardens offer numerous potential opportunities for students interested in research and creative endeavors.

Finally, Case Medical School and the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine both offer many opportunities for students interested in the sciences. You are encouraged and invited to get involved in UR-CE.

There are multiple seminars designed to help Undergraduates discorver the multiple opportunites for research around campus. Visit for more information.
