Application Guidelines
Academic areas for the Symposium are: Arts, Engineering and Computer Science, Humanities, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Nursing, Social Sciences, Management and Accounting.
Students are required to include a faculty name of their project advisor and/or endorser of their research presentation application. The SOURCE office will follow-up with an email to confirm the endorsement of the project for presentation. It is understood that many undergraduate students engage in research and creative projects within collaborative teams of faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students centered on Case faculty members' larger research endeavors. In addition to approving the overall readiness of the presentation, faculty advisers and/or endorsers are approving the undergraduate student's own role and authorship of the project and results of what may be a piece of a larger project.
Students need not have conducted the research on the Case campus, however, students must have a Case faculty member’s endorsement for the presentation.
Poster Presenters:
A poster board, easel and a chair will be provided.
Paper Presenters:
Paper presentations will take place in the small meeting rooms near the ballroom in Thwing. The rooms will be set-up with a podium and chairs.
Along with your application, you will be asked to submit an approximately 250 word abstract, project summary, or creative statement. This statement will appear in print in the SOURCE Symposium and Poster Summary Guide and/or on the web. This statement is central to your application and must provide a succinct overview of your larger work (i.e. poster, paper, performance). Abstract Guidelines and examples are below.
