- Faculty Orientation
The CWRU Newcomers Welcome Group is a program of the Office of Faculty Development. Since its founding in 1992 by Sarah Taylor, the Newcomers has brought together volunteers (faculty spouses/partners and faculty) to welcome new members of the faculty and administration, and their families, to the CWRU community. Volunteers answer questions regarding the campus, University Circle cultural institutions, greater Cleveland, and any other topics that assist in your transition to CWRU.
We hold three events during the academic year: the Family Picnic each August, following the New Faculty Orientation, a Winter Celebration, and the annual Wine Tasting Party in Spring.
We look forward to meeting you and hope you will be able to attend one or more of our events. Please contact the Office of Faculty Development if you would like further information on our program during the year. Wishing you a smooth and enjoyable transition to our diverse and stimulating campus and city.

The cost will be $15 per person, or $5 per person without wine.
