Behavior Risk Assessment Committee
"An informal consultation team whose charge is to assess situations involving disruptive or potentially dangerous students, faculty or staff by consulting with those affected by the situation, coordinating the university response and making recommendations on action, consistent with the university rules and policies."
The team may be activated by any member who is concerned or hears concerns about potentially dangerous behaviours. If the person exbiting the behaviours is a faculty or staff person, the dean or vice president of that person's school or administrative unit should be called first. If the person is a student then student affairs or the counseling service should be contacted first. They will triage to see if a meeting is needed.
Depending on the individual of concern, the team is supplemented by representatives of Human Resources, Undergraduate/Graduate Studies, or the Deans' Offices.
