UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR

CERTIFICATION OF ENROLLMENT

Certification of Enrollment is required for many purposes-–medical or legal associations, licensure, insurance companies, employers, loans, etc. The Office of the University Registrar is responsible for certifying student enrollment status. The Registrar maintains both past and current student records, but does not verify future enrollment. Pre-registration is considered future enrollment until the end of the drop/add period for that semester. A student is not considered a Case student unless he/she is officially registered. There is no charge for enrollment certification services.

Enrollment certification services are provided for the benefit of our students and alumni. We reserve the right to refuse certification requests from commercial entities which are intended for profit (i.e., requests from credit card companies).

A Certification of Enrollment does not include courses taken or grades attained while a student at Case; that information is only obtained through ordering a transcript. Your Enrollment Certification will include the following:

  • Enrollment Status, semester basis (i.e., full-time, half-time, less-than-halftime)*
  • Anticipated Graduation Date
  • Term Dates

For your convenience, there are four ways to order Certification of Enrollment, on-line, by mail, by fax, or in person. If requested on-line, information is available for you to print via self service. If requested by mail or fax, turnaround time can be up to three business days after a request is received although this may vary, and in many cases we are able to process requests on the same day that they are received. Please allow for additional processing time during peak periods such as the start and end of classes (mid January, beginning of May, end of August and mid December).

1) On line
Enrollment Certification requests can be made on-line and are enabled by the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). There is no charge for this service. By requesting enrollment certification electronically, you will have the convenience of using the web for the entire process. Note that enrollment cannot be verified for future attendance and can only be certified after the drop/add period for each term. Click "Proceed to NSC" below and log in with your Case Network ID and password. If you experience difficulty accessing the NSC service you may order your certification by mail, fax, or in-person or contact our office for assistance.
