the analysis and critique of sexual systems, discourses,
and representations, particularly those that animate,

and discourses occur in institutional, community,
domestic, and intimate contexts; are closely connected
to other social and cultural practices (such as nationalism, education
or popular entertainment); and play a critical role in the formation

Human Sexuality Collection
Cornell University Library
Lesbian, bisexual, gay, and transgendered politics on the national
level is a major strength of the Collection. Numerous
gifts of personal papers reflect the impact of AIDS
on lesbian and gay communities. Changes in erotica and the climate
for producing it, especially the attitudes of women and sexual minorities
toward it, are documented in manuscripts and periodicals. Our rare
books trace views about sexual relations from the 19th century through
the 20th, and soon the 21st. Our focus is on building a collection
of depth that includes representation of different perspectives, preserves
the experiences of young and old, and includes the contributions of
women and people of color. Our attention goes particularly to groups
that are excluded from mainstream culture.

Lesbian Herstory Archives
The Lesbian Herstory Archives exist to gather and preserve records
of Lesbian lives and activities so that future generations will have
ready access to materials relevant to their lives. The process of gathering
this material will also serve to uncover and collect our herstory denied
to us previously by patriarchal historians in the interests of the
culture which they serve. The existence of these Archives will enable
us to analyze and reevaluate the Lesbian experience; we also anticipate
that the existence of these archives will encourage lesbians to record
their experiences in order to formulate our living Herstory.

Trans-Academics.org
A place where people of
all genders can discuss gender theory, the
trans community and its various identities, both
as a part of the academic world and day-to-day
life. This is a trans-friendly space and is open to people of all gender
identities.
Trans-Academics.org is especially interested in supporting
people who are considering or currently are working
with trans related topics via research, writing, teaching, and other academic
ventures. It is our hope that people working on trans related topics will
be able to connect with other people working within
the field. Trans-Academics.org firmly believes that there should be a strong
connection between academics and activism, as such this site supports: students
of all levels, professors, activists groups including campus Queer and LGBTQI
programs, as well as people who are involved in the gender variant community
on a more personal basis.

Trans-Forum Research
Dedicated to facilitating
studies in the gender and sexuality arena. Through its efforts,
Trans-Forum Research hopes to transform the way
in which research is conducted in the field of gender, sexuality,
and related areas (HIV/AIDS, inter-sexuality, substance abuse, depression,
violence, stigma, homophobia, discrimination, and others). The
Trans-Forum Research site acts as a resource by hosting online studies,
and in doing so, brings together two communities - the research/academic/medical
professional and the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual,
and Transgender, i.e., GLBT (and other related) communities. http://www.trans-forumresearch.com/
