Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research

I am from Papua New Guinea under the Foreign Fulbright Scholar program. Before becoming a Fulbright student, I was undertaking an epidemiological research project for my graduate Science with Honors Degree at the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research. The Honors program was under the Global Infectious Disease Research Training Program (GIDRTP) funded by Fogarty International and in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University and the University of Papua New Guinea.

The project was focused on determining the prevalence of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Infections in asymptomatic women population from a rural and urban setting in Papua New Guinea and identifying risk factors associated with the infections.

I obtained my Science Honors Degree in 2008 at the University of Papua New Guinea after project completion at the end of 2007.
I am currently in the Masters Program for Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Medicine.
