Faculty Exchanges

Arthur Heuer and Gregory Eastwood Case Professor Arthur H. Heuer and Gregory L. Eastwood, M.D., director of the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence at Case, participate in partnership activities

Hazel R. O'Leary, the 14th President of Fisk University and former U.S. Secretary of Energy under President Bill Clinton, issued a call for leaders eager to serve their country during her recent lecture at Case Western Reserve University, "Damned If We Don't: America's Imminent Need for Leadership and Service." She spoke during Case's Alumni Weekend.

Sheila Peters, an associate professor of psychology at Fisk University, was invited to Case Western Reserve to present a lecture, called "Juvenile Delinquency Among Girls," at the university's Schubert Center for Child Development. During her visit, she had the opportunity to connect with Case students, faculty, and administrators.

Lectures are just one of many ways Case and Fisk faculty can exchange expertise as part of the Case-Fisk Partnership. There are joint research projects, distance learning classes, and much more.

"As a faculty member who conducted a lecture, I was honored to have the opportunity to share my research in the Case academy," Peters said. "All were warm and friendly and gave me great hope for the possibilities for this collaboration.

"In addition to students," Peters continued, "I believe that both faculties can benefit from this collaboration and can find new and exciting ways to collaborate on curriculum development, research, and service learning."
