Unity Banquet

Case President Barbara R. Snyder and Spike Lee at the 2008 Unity Banquet
Sponsored each year by Case Western Reserve University's Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Annual Unity Banquet & Scholarship Benefit raises funds for scholarships for underrepresented students attending Case Western Reserve.
In 2008, critically acclaimed film director, writer, producer, and actor Spike Lee gave the keynote address at the signature event that included students, faculty and staff from both Case and Fisk universities as well as the Cleveland community.
Although Lee is not a Fisk graduate, he did earn his degree at a historically black institution—Morehouse College—and so shared experiences and insights that underrepresented students from almost any institution can relate to.
