Ella Mae Johnson

The Legacy Project, an alumni component of the Case-Fisk Partnership, arose in part to recognize the longstanding dedication of Ella Mae Johnson, a 1925 graduate of Fisk and a 1928 gradate of the Western Reserve University School of Applied Social Science.

Now 104, Johnson of Cleveland, Ohio, is the oldest living Fisk-Case graduate.

In preparing to honor Johnson, Case Western Reserve's Office of Alumni Affairs identified more than 40 other dual-degree alumni of Fisk and Case.

The biographies and photographs of these alumni representative of the rich and long-standing Case-Fisk collaboration were published in a legacy booklet, "From Fisk to Case Western Reserve: A Tradition of Excellence in Scholarship, Leadership and Service," as well as on a companion DVD.

The alumni also were honored with reunion weekend activities and a celebration dinner at Case.

To request a copy of the commemorative booklet and DVD, call Case Western Reserve's Office of the Provost at 216-368-4389.
