Katie joined the staff of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women in October 2006. She is licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor. As the Women’s Health Advocate, Katie meets with students of all genders individually for privileged and confidential counseling or brief consultation and referral for health related concerns, including: healthy relationships, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, pregnancy and other relationship questions.

Additionally, Katie chairs the Sexual Conduct Task Force, co-chairs the Collegiate Behavioral Health Advisory Committee and co-coordinates the International Women’s Group. Katie co-advises the sexual assault peer education program, SMARRT, out of Greek Life. She also provides health programs to student groups or residence halls, which can be requested here.

Katie was awarded the Outstanding Greek Award, Helping Hands, in 2007-08 and the Outstanding Student Affairs Partner in 2008. She recently completed a one-year program through the Women Staff Leadership Development Initiative.

Katie holds a M.Ed. in counseling from Ohio University and a BFA in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the staff at the Center, she has had several years of combined experience providing counseling, case management, sexual assault survivor advocacy and college advising services to diverse clients in Cleveland, Athens (OH) and the San Francisco Bay Area.
