UCITE

Faculty Teaching Grants (currently suspended)

Each year UCITE raises some funds to support teaching across the CWRU campus. Small grants can be obtained through submission of proposals to the UCITE office at any time. Examples of the use of these funds include:
  • items such as purchase of supplies or demonstration materials,
  • software,
  • special summer projects,
  • and training sessions for use of technology

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Proposals for the Faculty Teaching Grant program are taken at all times throughout the fiscal year. Proposals should be no more than five pages in length (including budget.) They should consist primarily of a description of the project including background, rationale, and a specific project description.

Proposals should have a detailed budget that is co-signed by the Department or School Chairperson or Dean. Budgets can contain faculty summer salary, student help, software, limited travel, and supplies. Fringe benefits must be included, but there is no overhead.

Each proposal should be accompanied by a CV for the principal investigator (limit CV to summaries of no more than five pages.) Supporting material documenting prior contributions to teaching, curricula, and education is also appropriate (also limited to five pages.)
