Case Western Reserve University is pleased to announce the first go-live of Oracle/PeopleSoft Campus Solutions version 9.0! We successfully went live with Academic Structure on March 23, 2007.
This go-live is the first of many go-lives in the phased implementation of the Campus Solutions product after six months of design and prototype. The University decided in September 2006 to implement version 9.0 instead of version 8.9. This feature-rich release of the Campus Solutions product provides significant advantages to all in the Case Western Reserve University community including the students, faculty, alumni, schools, and departments.
The academic structure is built to accommodate the complex needs of the School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, College of Arts and Science, Case School of Engineering, Weatherhead School of Management, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, the Office of Undergraduate Studies and the School of Graduate Studies. The SIS project team identified a number of processes that will be enhanced as our user community accesses the services we will provide. The structure design is flexible, accommodating future process changes at the University as well as supporting the autonomy of each of the Schools.
In addition to the Campus Solutions product, Case Western Reserve is currently using Oracle/PeopleSoft Human Capital Management, Financial Management and the Grants module.
The Case Western Reserve University project team appreciates the guidance and assistance received from our colleagues within the HEUG community and from our implementation partner Cedar Crestone. We look forward to learning of our colleagues’ success as they implement or upgrade to version 9.0 and beyond!
