At this time, training is not offered to students. Students may visit the Manuals & Guides webpage for detailed directions on the most frequently performed actions in the SIS.
Faculty and Staff
Training is not required for faculty and staff to access the SIS. Requests for access should be made to the Office of the University Registrar at reghelp@case.edu. Currently, only requests for access to the Schedule of Classes module of the SIS require training. For help with the SIS, please seek the material appropriate to your duties on the Manuals and Guides page.
The Schedule of Classes - Fundamentals
NEW! Friday, November 20th, 2009 @1pm in the Kelvin Smith Library, room LL06
Frequency: Once per Fall, Spring, and Summer term.
In this course, participants learn about the technical specifications of the source of the schedule, the Course Catalog, the fundamental technical requirements that users must perform to update the Schedule of Classes module, and the overall scheduling process. Participants will learn how to become prudent and efficient schedulers of their department's courses.
Technical skills:
Adding a course to the schedule
Adding a class section to the schedule
Entering and updating class meeting patterns and locations
Entering and updating class instructors, TA's and Grading Proxies
Deleting a course from the schedule
Deleting a class section from the schedule
Setting an enrollment capacity
Cancelling a class section
Length: 2 hours
Setting: Lab
Registration is required. Please email erptraining@case.edu with your name, Case Network ID and department to register.
Training is required to obtain access to the Schedule of Classes, as well as a signed security form. Please download the form and submit it following the completion of training.
Both new users and existing users of the Schedule of Classes are invited to attend.
